Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour: Review

Although the location is one of the highlights about this hotel, the 5 star service can stand alone as a wonderful asset. The check in staff were delightful, and it felt relaxed, then I was escorted to the room, and shown around the features of the suite. Later I received a friendly phone call from the concierge to enquire if there was anything I needed, and although everything was fine I was surprised with a complimentary bottle of wine and sumptuous chocolates.

The expansive rooms were stylishly decorated in soothing colours. Larger than expected, I had a corner apartment, with fully equipped kitchen & laundry, huge lounge & dining room with expansive views over to the beautiful treetops of Botanical Gardens. From the long balcony you get a glimpse of the top of the opera house from the higher floors. The bed was dreamy and so comfortable, and I had a peaceful night sleep, did not notice any road noise. The bedroom had an extra Flat screen TV.

The bathroom was huge with a generous size separate spa bath, and boutique body products. The cleanliness was exceptional and couldn't be faulted, and exceeded that of many other 5 star hotels. The feature d├ęcor around the kitchen gives the apartment a touch of elegance and luxury.

The location has many benefits, just footsteps from Circular Quay Ferries and Train Station & Buses, about as close as you can get to the Sydney Opera House, and its outdoor bars and restaurants, a short walk to the other side of Circular Quay is Cruise Terminal and The Rocks. On top of all that the Botanical Gardens are on the other side of the hotel. The location is convenient for business travellers aswell as tourists. I as able to walk to my appointment in Bond street. For Transport, convenience, and access to Sydney Harbour, Opera House & Tourist attractions, the location is really magnificent.

There is a sparkling indoor heated pool & spa, with gym and sauna attached. The pool lounge area is a deck above the pool and enjoys the harbour side views of this location. Although my room was on the other side, I imagine it would be quite exciting to have a room on the harbour side too, another good excuse to return. There was a cruise liner docked, and was interesting to see it manoeuvrer its way out of the Quay.

No chance to visit the restaurant as it was being renovated, but a good excuse to return, as I am sure to do so.

Byron VIP Travel Writer, highly recommends Pullman Quay Grand for excellent service, quality accommodation, and outstanding location and views.
